Lamp Inc has for over 20 years successfully provided high quality, not for profit, community based consumer and carers support services to people with mental illnesses living in the Greater South West regions of WA.
Lamp’s Group Support Program (Day to Day (D2D) is based on a delivery model of care that integrates stepped care, recovery-oriented practice, family support, person-centred planning, and a holistic strengths-based approach. The group activities program is delivered in Busselton, Bunbury, Margaret River and Bridgetown. Aside from core activities, the group activities program includes provision of information, coping strategies, referrals and peer support.
The key aim associated with Lamp’s delivery of the Day2Day program is to provide eligible participants in the Southwest region of Western Australia with opportunities to engage in community-based psychosocial group activities that enhance their personal wellbeing, choice and control and integration into the community.
Lamp’s co-design group planning meetings with participants occur in Busselton, Bunbury, Margaret River and Bridgetown. These meetings provide opportunities for participants to plan, co-design and co-lead activities as well as take ownership of their role in the program.
In accord with participant preferences Lamp provides a range of recreational and social activities such as pre-vocation activities, goal development, cooking, life skills, crafts, art therapy, music and external activities such as social outings, horse-riding, coffee days etc.
The group activities program are available in Busselton, Bunbury, Margaret River and Bridgetown for up to five days per week from 10:00am and 2:00pm.

Individuals wanting to participate in Lamp’s D2D Group Activity Program are required to have a referral that notes a mental health diagnosis. These referrals are most often prepared by GPs, clinicians, and other allied health practitioners.
Lamp can assist individuals who are self-referred or have a referral from the community to obtain an appropriate referral from a health professional.
Getting a health professional referral helps ensure all individuals can have their needs assessed and appropriate services made available to them.

Lamp is a local not for profit organisation that aims to maximise access of eligible participants to group activities and keep associated costs low.
Costs vary depending on whether participants are funded or not by NDIS.

Lamp’s primary office and service delivery location is at 226 Bussell Hwy, Busselton, WA 6280. Group activities are delivered in Busselton, Bunbury, Margaret River and Bridgetown at multiple locations depending on the activity selection.

Lamp’s D2D Group Activity Program is developed with the input of group members. Program activities are planned to occur 6 days per week Monday – Saturday, depending upaon participant numbers and excluding Public Holidays.

Group sessions are planned to occur between 10.00 am and 2.00pm. Transport services may be available outside these times. Lunch spans a thirty minute period within these times, depending on the activity and location.

Group activities are linked to group preferences and may include workbench activities, music lessons, arts and crafts, gardening and social activities. Aside from core activities, D2D services include provision of information, coping strategies, referrals and peer support.

Depending on group preferences and participation numbers Lamp can arrange specific groups for young people, groups that are gender based, groups that are mixed and groups that are activity specific.

Transport (an 8 seater bus) is available for Busselton and Margaret River based individuals seeking transport to activity locations in Margaret River. Transport services within Busselton are also available. Depending on group numbers and available resources, transport services may also be made available to individuals located in Bridgetown.
